TSY (Taylan Sinan Yilmaz) is one of those filmmakers who seems to have lived a dozen artistic lives before ever stepping onto a set — and it shows. He started publishing a metal fanzine at 15, drew satire for major comic magazines, studied painting, produced electronic music, shot photographs, designed… and then found the medium that could hold it all together: cinema.

That multidimensional background fuels his voice today. Taylan’s films carry a distinctly international sensibility — moody, soulful, beautifully composed — paired with the precision and rhythm of someone who’s spent years behind the camera as a cinematographer. His first short, Endless, earned praise from Sight & Sound Magazine and played internationally, setting the stage for a decade of collaborations with TBWA, Ogilvy, 72&Sunny, and global brands like Adobe, Nissan, Reebok, Cadillac, and Airbnb.

What he brings to set is rare: cinematic precision, painterly images, and a real sensitivity to human performance. What he brings to a roster is even rarer — a filmmaker who can move seamlessly between live action and next-gen workflows without losing the soul of the story.

The result: a filmmaker with taste, emotional intelligence, and serious technical firepower — a rare combination in today’s landscape.
